Today marked the completion of our first interview! To be honest, not only was it our first interview for our project, but my first interview in general. I’ve never done anything like this before in my academic career. Sarah, on the other hand, was pretty well versed in it. Her set up was extremely professional. She took the time to make sure every part of the set up was correct, paying attention to camera/mic position as well as the overall portions of the scene. She also took care to make sure our interviewee was comfortable.
The actual interview was quite short 15 to 20 mins or so, but so much information was gathered. We had a set of questions to base the discussion on but other things were brought up. It was interesting to see what was the same as well as what had changed in recent years. Our interviewee is also a current staff member at the school so she gave us a compare/contrast of what things were like working here vs being a student.
The interview needs to be edited and cleaned up before we put it up but that should be soon. I’m excited to share it with you all.
